Information You Submit
When you use a search form, the name, phone number, or address you enter goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you send us a message, we receive the details you choose to provide and use them to answer you.
Automatic Technical Data
Our hosting systems create ordinary logs that can include an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
The information described above helps us operate the site, diagnose faults, measure visits, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles of individual users.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links may lead to City of Olympia portals, Thurston County and Washington records offices, library collections, or third-party search services. Information entered on those sites is controlled by their privacy policies, not ours. The same is true for sponsored search results, which an outside company provides.
Who May Receive Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
Our Security Measures
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes stated above. Because visitors do not create accounts, this site holds no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your place of residence may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. Washington has no broad omnibus consumer privacy law. Chapter 19.373 RCW, the My Health My Data Act, is limited to consumer health data, while chapter 19.375 RCW regulates commercial biometric identifiers. Neither creates a universal right to suppress all directory or public-record information. Because we retain little data, we can usually check our contact mailbox and server logs promptly. Use the Contact page to submit a request. Records held by Olympia, Thurston County, or Washington agencies remain under the custodian's control, so any correction or removal request must go to that office.
Policy Changes
Any revised policy will appear here. By continuing to use the site after an update, you accept the new version.
